Unlike Monash how they just have a bachelor of engineering, melbourne uni looks different. It says you can choose an undergrad degree either biomed, commerce, enviro, or science, then further study, but how do i know which under grad degree to choose if there are so many?
Cheers :)

Conclusion: Come to Monash Uni for a streamlined approach to eng.

Yeh atm i'm planning to study commerce/engineering at monash. I was just curious as to how Melbourne works. I hear engineering is better done at monash right?

im just gonna say that, unless someone actually has had experience at both, they shouldnt really say one is better over the other.. cause they dont really know personally.
so its subjective.. imo.
does UoM require you to do any test or anything, parallel to LSAT, gamsat to do any engineering course?

Yeah, bhootnike is right. We're not actually sure which is better, Monash or Melb. on engineering. But I'm a monash person, so go Monash. And no, i hear u only need a 65 WAM to get to Masters of Eng., provided u finish enough eng. related units to be considered to get to Masters.
Russ:
There was a thread about this the other day
In summary I think the points were
Nobody can talk about how 'good' the new Masters is because nobody has graduated
The old Bachelor was well respected as one of the two (the other being monash) premier degrees in Vic
Engineering at UoM is just as organised as Monash, you're studying it from day1 etc.
Monash is shorter if you don't do a double degree
Greatness:

Nope you just need a 65+ average. Yeah you can do masters of engineering from pretty much any undergrad degree but science, commerce and environments are the ones I've found to be the most common.
