Rule of thumb - any finance subject with the word derivatives in it will be the harder finance subjects - unless you reeeallly like probability and statistics.

AFC3340 - hardest finance subject there is at monash.

This sem, apparently for the first assignment 93% of the people got 0/5 and the rest got 1/5, ie, there was a 100% fail rate LOL

Looks like it got even harder since when I did it lol

Oh wow.... -.-
That is ridiculous....

AFC3140 is proving to be quite straightforward at least.

haha TT, i was planning to do that...is it possible to do all the required finance units to complete the major (other than AFC3340), and then do it as an elective?

yeah you can definitely complete a finance major without afc3340 and then do it as an elective, no problems there. But you'll see that if you do afc3340, it'll help with many other units (complements very well with afc3540 and Paul, the chief examiner, takes both these units, so there's alot of similarities)

oh yeah defs do them first, id say afc3340 helps most with afc3540, afc3140, afc2340 and afc3240 :)
