It's because you know the real exam matters, that's why you will perform that much better on the day - it's just like playing sports - you usually always perform better in the moment than in training. I find that true for exams as well - but of course - the most decisive factor is the difficulty of the exams and VCAA Spesh is usually easier than the trials for spesh.

agree with Rohit, defs early days, if anything, what you learn from each exam and your improvement as you progress through them are more important than your score at this stage.

Haha, the comment was in reference to people being stressed regarding their scores. It's no biggie if your not performing as you'd like right now. I had done jack all for any of my subjects this time last year and I pulled through VCE alright, and so did many others on this forum :)

That would be A+ and therefor 50+ scaled, which is an amazing score where is your problem?

I don't think 36/40 would be enough for an A+ in Spesh Exam 1.

Yeah, it's usually higher.
But, in 2008, you needed a minimum of 64/80 (32/40) for an A+, so a 36 would be a mid-high A+.

I think 2008 one is harder so A+ cutoff (32/40) is reasonable

Last year, the A+ cut-off for Spesh Exam 1 was 38.5, which means that if you got 39, you'd be "low A+" :\

Is vcaa likely to make exam 1 harder this year because it wasn't hard enough last year?

There is nothing to suggest that, but it is likely to be harder than last year's because last year's would have been one of the easiest in history.
