Same as usual, study and revise the content well. Just don't forget the stuff you learn in Unit 3 by the end of the year (easy enough, just practice every now and then).

Same as usual, practicing exam style questions throughout the year would be handy, don't just work solely out of the textbook and leave your first introduction to exam type questions to before exam period. There is a large difference between what textbook questions try to get you to do (learn the concepts) and what the exam questions get you to do (apply/test your knowledge). Assuming you're doing Unit 2 physics currently you should be able to look at Unit 3 motion questions from previous exams and see the difference yourself.

Same as usual, pay special attention to VCAA exam questions, regardless of study design, the main difference in this next study design is that you do one detailed study throughout the entire year and the exam format. As indicated by the exam specifications document, the style of questions is pretty much the same as this study design. You may find that, being 2013, you won't need to go back that far at all in terms of study designs.

Same as usual, practice your exam technique and exam timing skills. Only this time make sure you have an attention span where you can sit still and focus for a 150 minute exam.

Same as usual, focus on understanding the concepts as well as you possibly can.

That's not a big deal. The only thing you'd have a bit less of are actually practice exams that are actually set out for the 150 minute format. The content itself hasn't changed, so you've got all the previous years worth of resources for actual questions.

All the major companies would continue to produce their practice exams. Off the top of my head, I can think of 7 major companies that, more likely than not, would produce practice exams next year. There's the study guides companies too, which usually contain exams, I can think of 3 different companies that would probably produce 2013 versions. Then there's also the ATARNotes study guide, where Paul is going to be writing a few tests/exams for next year. So I'm approximating that you'd be able to gather around at least 11 practice exams that are designed for next years format.

And then, there's the fact that the only major difference is the format of the exam - not the actual content. You could just take a Unit 3 and Unit 4 exam and do it in one go really. Or perhaps not in one go, either way it'd be a near must to look at those exams. This means you have all of the previous years resources to look at too. Even if you go back to the directly previous study design: 2009 to 2012, that's four years worth of exams.

And then you'd have the even earlier than that VCAA exams where you'd be wanting to pick out questions from to have a look at.

All in all, that's plenty of resources for revision, and that's only looking at practice exams.

Look, if I were you, I'd just avoid the subject :) The exam is going to be massive, long, daunting, and will have physics in it. Terrible combo imo.

But if you choose to disregard this, good luck :)
