My personal favorite is matrices, im not a fan of networks because of the guess/check-ness of it at times and i agree that its compleatly different from anything else.
if your looking to learn another module however i recommend trig and geometry. its essentially just formula running through year 10 sorta stuff, with just a few extra's here and there so yay.
They do throw you an annoying question from time to time though .
The theory in Geo and trig isn't to difficult to grasp (although there is a substantial amount of it), but they can ask a lot of seperator questions on it. I wouldn't do this without teacher resources at hand.
