2012 MEDIA EXAM - New Study Design

As there is a new study design for media this year, does anyone know what has changed from the previous study design. I want to know which questions to avoid when doing practise exams?

Nothing has been taken out of the course, so all past questions are still relevant. Only difference is that rather than writing down a single text that you've studied for Social Values and the production period in which it was made you have to do this for the multitude of texts that you've looked at as well as explain what a discourse is and expatiate the details of your own chosen discourse which you used your texts to explore.

As far as I can tell, the media influence section has been altered slightly and if I remember correctly, my media teacher mentioned that only one text was studied in previous years for the social values outcome.

Yeah from what I've gathered from different teachers it hasn't been a huge change but the main thing that's changed is social values.  The main change is that we study more than one text and the idea of discourse was added.. :)
