Hey guys,

What are some other ways of saying "The audience is positioned..." ?
It's the only way i'm showing the effects certain techniques have on readers, are there any other ways of wording it differently?

"allowing the audience to feel"
"attempts to sway the audience by"
"drawing in on the audiences (insert some value or something here)"
"striving to convince"
