Structuring responses and discussing gallery experience.

Hey all. Just curious if there is a specific structure to answer the questions concerning aesthetic qualities and ones about materials, techniques and processes?

Also, do we need to be able to describe our experience at a gallery space?

Hi :)
There really is not structure, depending on what the artwork is, different art elements are used so it's best to practice so you can tackle any art form.
But I guess you can begin by mentioning the art element then talking about the art principle? That's what the study design has mentioned
And in terms of the gallery space - it's good to have in mind what your experience was. You don't necessarily talk about what it felt like for you but what you felt surely gives an indication of how some of the deliberate choices of exhibitions work to influence the audience etc etc.

Yendall:
i) Materials, Techniques and Processes basically encompass the process of creating the art form, and then how they created the subject matter and composition. If you were talking about an Oil on Canvas, you would talk about how they created the frame, stretched the material, coated with gesso etc. if you were to primarily focus on Materials and Creation. However I believe you can talk about how they actually created the piece, for example, painting the background first and moving into the foreground, whilst obviously explaining all the processes involved in that.

ii)Like spherelin said, talk about how the artworks were presented as you walked through the galleries, talk about how they evoked certain emotions etc. You don't have to talk specifically about how you felt, but it is wise to mention why things are placed where they are and how that makes the viewer react.
