Research methods practice

Hey guys,
So I want some more practice questions to do on research methods. Do you think it'll feature heavily on the exam?
I was thinking of printing out the research methods section from the past study design exams (02-10), but will they be relevant to the current study design and worth doing? Or should I just stick to doing current study design exams and use those research methods questions as practice?

Oh, and some of the questions from the past study design talk about correlation... but we don't need to worry about that for this study design, do we?

Thanks

Yeah, definitely print off those papers from the past study design! And yeah, except for correlation (don't worry about it), pretty much all of it is still relevant. You never know, they could make section C research methods based again  :o

And even if the extended response isn't research methods related, they'll still test it pretty heavily in the short answer

Can't say it will feature heavily on the exam ~ how would anyone know this, except for those people who set the exam?

Yup definitely print out the 02-10 research methods sections, they are relevant to the current study design. You can also stick to the current study design exams and use those research methods questions as practice. If you do both, it doesn't hurt & will only help.

However, if what you're really asking is - which option is recommended, given we have about 2 weeks until the psych exam, just stick to the recent research methods questions, as they give more of a 'feel' of what to expect for the 2012 exam, but the difference is marginal.

Hope I helped  :)

"Correlation" is not something we need to go.
In my opinion you should work definitions first because these stump a lot of people and then when you have gone over that, try as many questions as you can.
I'd try study it all because you have no idea what they will ask.  :)

Do you mean definitions of specific research methods concepts?

Could anyone please explain the differences between validitiy, reliability, internal validityetc.

I absolutely hate research methods and these still confuse me!
