How to minimise the amount of mistakes in exam...

just like the title, i just need some things i could do to reduced the number of mistakes i make in the exam....

I do an exam under exam conditions and i feel pretty confident (finish well before time and check over the exams about 2 times) yet i cant seem to pick out little mistakes

any suggestions?

Estimate the answer in your head before you touch your calculator. And make sure you hit the right buttons. For MC, aim to look for the distractor answers and why they are distractors (probs just for trials) until you get the hang of picking the right answer everyone because you know the tricks they pull.

This is something I'm still battling. :/ I do my trial exams fast in order to add that element of stress, but when you do them to time, just take your time with them and do them right the first time, rather than try to find mistakes later on.

I try to do it fast as i can, so i can do it a second time. and by second time i re-do the exam then check if thats what i did the first time. If i look at my first working out etc, i usually assume its right and use those working outs so i dont really check it per say..

The problem with doing them as fast as you can and re-attempting the exam later on is that, its highly likely for you to make the same mistake due to being under exam condition...

Yeah, it's hard. If you do it fast, you have to learn to disregard and forget what you did the first time. So you dont make the same mistake.

That is the single most common reason that people, who know their work, do not get expected answers in any examination.

I highlighted any keywords in questions that were quite wordy to avoid any misunderstandings or falling into the trap of "not fully reading the questions". You could highlight words for every question to ensure you have read the question properly but I felt that I simply didnt have enough time to do it for every question in exam 1 which costed me a few marks

it's more doable in exam 2, especially with module 1 and 3

Exactly what costed me. With the seasonal index one.. Thought it said winter not spring haha
