which residence is good?
Jenny_2108:
Hi, are there ANU students here?
I plan to study at ANU next year and I need to book the accommodation before the deadline
After VCE exams, Iam not in Australia so I wanna finish the booking asap
There are so many residences on the ANU website and I don't know which one is good though
There are 10 residences:
Bruce Hall
Burgmann College
Burton & Garran Hall
Davey Lodge
Fenner Hall
John XXIII College
Kinloch Lodge
Lena Karmel Lodge
Ursula Hall
Warrumbul Lodge
Any ideas about them?
Btw, which residence is close to ANU College Business and Economics or ANU Joint Colleges of Science building?
Thanks!

Hey I really want to go to ANU next year as well. I found this website which was handy for a brief summary)

Also, as much as I hate to say it, there is more info on BoredofStudies.org because it's a NSW based forum. (That's where I found that website)

There are lots of old discussions on AN which are still relevant. Basically, they all offer more or less the same thing (the big difference being catered/noncatered) at a similar price. The uni lodges are the exception to that - nicer rooms but way more expensive. Each has a different vibe or stereotype that mostly holds true, the website rife linked to pretty much covers the basics.

I reckon apply for Bruce or Ursies if you want to go catered - they're more science/business-friendly (Burgmann/Johns tend to be more Law-centric). Bruce is a bit bigger and more chill, Ursies is a bit smaller and has more nerdy people there (who are nevertheless really lovely - I have some really good friends at Ursies), so it's up to you what you prefer between those.
