NEAP 2012

So I'm going through the answers, but a few got me..

MC 7. Isn't Vern using fixed interval instead of continuous reinforcement because he's reinforcing Adrian during dinner time, not every meal? Hmm...

MC 32. Isn't cortisol is first released into the bloodstream during countershock, not resistance?

Not sure about q7, but 32 is definitely wrong.
What you said is correct, and neap made a mistake.

In this case, the "correct response" is the eating of all his vegetables (specifically) during dinner time.
It says he given a sticker "every time Adrian [he] eats all of his vegetables on his dinner plate." And if we reconsider the definition... continuous reinforcement a schedule of reinforcing every correct response after it occurs. (As Vern rewards a sticker every time the correct response is shown)

Anyway, since the question doesn't mention anything about any other meal, I don't think it's safe enough to question Vern's reinforcement towards Adrian's eating habits in other meals. The response is made clear in this question (being strictly for dinner time)!  ^^

Here you go :)

Vern has decided to use a sticker chart to get his son, Adrian, to eat vegetables during dinner time. Every
time Adrian eats all of the vegetables on his dinner plate he is given a sticker to put on his chart. When he
fills the chart he can trade his stickers for a Lego kit.

Question 7

The schedule of reinforcement that Vern is using when issuing stickers for eating vegetables during dinner
time is
A. fixed ratio.
B. continuous reinforcement.
C. fixed interval.
D. variable ratio.

Yeah, I figured out 7 actually is B, I was just over-thinking it at the time!
And my teacher said that 32 should be B as well, even though the solutions say that it's C

So cortisol is released during resistance?

I always thought adrenaline and noradrenaline were released in countershock and then cortisol in resistance. ~not confident with this though~

But read alarm reaction... it says "stress hormones are released" and then in resistance it says the same thing!

I know probably this is the wrong thread for this as you guys seem to be just as confused..but can anyone clarify this cortisol thing once and for all?
My understanding is that during countershock, stress hormones are released due to the activation of the sym. nervous system, and then during resistance, adrenaline and cortisol, amongst other hormones, continue to be released as they support resistance?
