Commerce - Melbourne or Monash?

Hi all  :)

I was just wondering what are the pros and cons in going to either Melbourne Uni or Monash Clayton to study Commerce? Is one university better than the other in terms of Commerce?

I am leaning more towards Melbourne Uni, but I live quite far away as it will take me at least 70 minutes to get there. On the other hand, it will only take me half the time to get to Monash Clayton.

Should I still choose Melbourne despite the amount of time I spend traveling or should I pick Monash Clayton as the time traveling to Melbourne Uni is not worth it?

Please share with me your thoughts and recommendations! :)
All advice is greatly appreciated! :)

Truck:
honestly, if i was you i'd go to monash on the basis of location alone

paulsterio:
Yeah, to be honest, 70 mins to get to UoM and 70 mins to get back = almost 1.5 hours a day = 7.5 hours/week

Essentially if you go to UoM, you'll lose 7.5 hours per week in just travel time alone, as opposed to 3.25 hours for Monash, like it might not seem like much, but when you take like 45 mins more every day, it works out to be 0.75 x 120 (120 days of uni per year - 5 x 24) = 90 hours/year, which is quite a lot across three years, so I'd just pick Monash for convenience + undergraduate it probably doesn't matter, both Melb and Monash are Go8 universities...etc.

GoldenPie:
Thank you both on your advice! It sure helped a lot! :)

Much appreciated! :)

Furbob:
In the long run, I'd go for Monash as you'd be more attentive to your lectures/tutorials/go there to study in the library over Melbourne

I'm surprised at how lazy I can be to contemplate over going to a tutorial or not despite monash being 15-20 minutes away :P whereas if I went to melbourne I'd probably skip it  due to overall ceebs of having to get there and back
