Can someone please explain how to draw a least squares regression line if you've found the equation?
Thanks!

I'll use question 3)b ii, from the 2007 VCAA exam as an example. http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/Documents/exams/mathematics/2007furmath2.pdf (pg.6-7)

The least squares regression line equation is - mean duration of warm spell = -776.9 + 60.3 x mean surface temperature

Once we have that, just simply choose two points that are towards the end and towards the start of the x-axis.

I chose 13.2 and 13.8.

Simply put these two points into the equation that we just worked out, giving 19.06 and 55.24.

Now just plot these two points (13.2,19.06) and (13.8,55.24) on the graph and then rule a line joining them and continuing as high and low as the given axis will allow you to go.
