lots of cramming. I use to be the king of trig. Now I'm in year 7 novice all over again. I'm just trying to master all the fundementals. My prediction is I will have no sleep for the next few days

Me personally, I'm just finishing up the VCAA exams (2010 and 2011) to go as I saved all the VCAA ones for last. Then once I'm finished them I was going re-do all the questions I got wrong with fully worked solutions, then add them to my reference book. After that I might just look over a few other exams from other companies if I still fell I need a little extra revision.

Do one more trial exam tomorrow, and then relax. As many of you know, I have trouble keeping calm so I'm going to be consciously working on my state of mind through the last few days. :)

What the dude above me said. VCAA 2010 and 2011 exams would be the best option in my opinion.

im pretty much the same, got VCAA 08 and 10 to do, and ill probably go through the 2012 vcaa sample questions. On a side note, what do you plan to do with reading time and the extra time after you've finished? i find it hard to pick out mistakes when going over it a second time, any tips for that? and do you guys start the first couple questions in reading time? cheers.

Glad you bring that up as I actually haven't thought about it. I think I'll use my reading time to go through and read every question, in the hope that I will pick up on any tricks that VCAA might slip in them. I doubt actually starting the exam in reading time is going to be that beneficial as the risk of getting them wrong is much higher and it would probably make it harder to pick up on any mistakes you make on them. Apart from the fact that time really isn't an issue. With the ~30mins after I'm finished I will probably double check any of the slightly harder questions, then just hurriedly look for mistakes or any misinterpretations.

The way i will utilize my reading time is taking a glance at the entire exam and work out which ones are the difficult ones. Having said that, it won't take that long to take a look at everything. which may/may not leave time for me to start answering questions that require no effort or calculations just pure observation.

Well from doing so many trial exams, I know that for exam 1 time will not be an issue for me at all, so I intend to do the exam once very slowly and make sure it's right, rather than rush through it and then try to find mistakes later on. As with exam 2, time is a bit more of a concern, but I still think I'll be able to pace myself as long as I keep an eye on the clock. Again, I'll be using the same strategy. Reading time is something that I didn't really appreciate until I did a trial exam in school, where I would've avoided making an error if I had read the question thoroughly. I used to just skim the paper to get a feel for the content, but now I intend to read it like a book so I know exactly what I'm getting myself into. I also know which order I need to fill the paper out in too. :)
