If you created the network, it would look like this with forward and backward scanning:



The answer is 24 on the Assessors report, but wouldn't it be 34 if their theory is correct?

I thought the answer was 18. Because if he gets a phone call right when Andy begins, he has Activity K and L to talk on the phone before he has to start his activity.

The answer is 24 because it says the activities must be done under 40 mins (what your diagram outlines is the fastest time for completion). Hence, if he took a call for 24 mins that would be the max time as 24+16=40.

I never did further so I could be wrong here haha

That seems pretty legit though haha thanks! I'll remember that, because this question is fairly annoying in terms of the study design.
