Difference between FAP and maturation

When asked to provide the difference between a FAP and maturation, would it be better to provide the definition of both or the characteristics like FAP is a species specific behaviour?

You'd probably be best to state their definition's first e.g. 'A FAP is a behaviour that is genetically set in a species whereas maturation is a series of behaviours all members of a species goes through' (or whatever). Then you would say how they differ (characteristics). E.g. A FAP is species specific, meaning it happens to certain animals in a species and not others (e.g. reproduction), whereas maturation happens to every animal in the species.

Hope that makes sense haha.

LOL FAP.  :P
I'd do the two definitions & then state some key differences.

Would a difference be that FAP (this is the first time I have seen them called that and has made this section much more entertaining for me ^_^) are generally quite complex (eg. mating patterns in birds) whereas reflexes are usually fairly simple behaviours?

Yes, that is correct; FAP involves a more complex sequence of movement.

Alternatively:
FAP - generally occurs in lower order species, humans have none (behaviour is not instinctive)
Reflex - can occurs in virtually any organism
