hey guys i was doing heffernan 2011 exam 1
can someone clarify with question 4?
isnt the 68-95-99.7% rule only an approximation?

if you try these on your calculator, you'll see that it's very close to these approximations:
$\text{normcdf(-1,1), normcdf(-2,2), normcdf(-3,3)}$
