Full Sentence Responses in Exam 2

I've been doing some MAV papers and I've noticed that in the solutions, they all say stuff like "Kate's total cost is $34.15."

I pretty much answered every question in the paper as something like "$34.15" and just underlined it to make it clear.

Is this enough, or do I actually have to go that extra mile and put everything into full sentences? Feels like a huge waste of time to answer in full sentences, and would be great to know that the way I'm doing it is fine.

Thanks in advance for any responses.  :)

No, in fact I remember in a VCAA assessment report that they specifically mentioned that full sentences are not necessary because they take up time and working out space. :)
