Anyone know why they've changed the format from having each part as a separate numbered question to having part a, b, c, d...?

they did that for unit 3 aswell.

last time I went to a neap lecture, Eddy De Jong (former chief assessor? something like that) said it's because in the past people would forget that certain information spans over particular questions e.g. Q5-9, and so they just changed it to make it more obvious that a question is part of a larger set of information.

They're probably just trying to keep the subject interesting.

I know you guys are smart enough to not get fooled by such a cheap tactic for such a dull and miserable subject, so don't worry about it :)
