With dynamic questions, if it doesn't specify, do we leave our answers in terms of 'g' ? Like a=g or a= 9.8? Or are both acceptable?

If it doesn't specify stick with g, as although 9.8 may be accepted it just looks like it's incomplete. Remember that is if you're not required to calculate the end result (across which you would use 9.8 and finalise the answer).
