Hi guys, so I'm stuck on an otherwise simple redox reaction :/

What's the half reduction equation for the oxygen molecule (O2) in this overall equation:

S (s) + O2 (g) -----> SO2 (g)

I'm thinking its something alone the lines of:

O2 + 4e-   -->           2O2-

cheers !

I'm pretty sure this is right. I would have written the half equation this way also  :)
