Theres many definitions of TQM around and i'm wondering if this would work as one

TQM involves an ongoing, organisation wide commitment to excellence in every aspect of the organisation's performance. It involves doing things right the first time instead of going back and checking for faults.

I believe that's an adequate definition of it.

I guess what's important is that you make reference to the 'ongoing' attempt to ensure that quality goods and services are being produced, and that the organisation has clear intentions to abide by strict quality control protocol in order to produce a product which continuously improves and remains consistent.

that's a perfect definition of it.
I use TQM: a quality management strategy that focuses on impoving quality at every stage of the production process.

Then I usually link it with quality controls OR quality assurange.

When I talk about TQM, I like to say that it is a holistic approach, because rather than one group of employees checking for quality at a time during the production process, all employees are committed to striving for excellence and high standards.
