Chancellors Scholars Program cutoff

So I really really wanted to get into the Scholars program for Commerce... but with an ATAR of 99.75 I think I've just missed it. Is there still a glimmer of hope though? I've heard that if the quota of students isn't filled places are offered to students with lower scores than 99.90...

Also, does anyone know how these places are allocated? Is there a large pool of scholarships that every course draws on (ie. 50 scholarships total for every course eligible), or is there a quota per course (ie. 10 for Commerce, 10 for Biomedicine etc.)? Thanks!

2013: BComm@UoM (Actuarial Studies)- discontinued
2014-2018: Bachelor of Vision Science/Master of Optometry @ Deakin

Yeah unfortunately it is highly improbable :( But funnier things have happened. I'm not sure on the numbers, some members would have a better idea tho.
