Bachelor of Business - Single or Double?

Hey everybody,

I'm looking to go Monash Uni in 2014 and obtain the Bachelor of Business. In regards to this, the Bachelor of Business (Accounting) is a single degree and requires 3 years, although the Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and Bachelor of Business (Banking and Finance) is a double degree and requires 4 years. Is it worth an extra year of Uni if I'm planning on achieving a career in Accounting and complete my CA soon? Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

You've answered your own question! If you're solely looking to major in Accounting/be an accountant, then choose the Bachelor of Business (Accounting) degree.

Doing a single degree is fine if you know whether you want to be after you graduate, but a lot of people would say its better to do a double degree because even though it takes longer, it'll leave you with more opportunities for work in more industries.
