B. Business Double Degree V Single Help!

So my first preference is Clayton Commerce with a 90.3 however given I scored a couple less than that I dont think I'll get it. (I would have liked to have put a tagged Bachelor of Commerce degree but I didn't think I'd get 90 let alone 91+)

The second preference I've always had has been Bachelor of Business (Accounting)/Bachelor of Business (Banking and Finance).

I'm now a little concerned though. Could I do a Bachelor of Business (Accounting), and do a double major in accounting, and banking and finance and have the exact same credentials as the double degree mentioned - minus the banking and finance tag and finish a year earlier? Also, would this mean I'd have almost no breadth/minor opportunities?

I'm just really confused as to whats the better option - with the 3 year double degree, I'd have more time and could even persue a triple major apparently, or take up other areas of personal interest (music, photography etc.) whereas the 3 year degree would be less of that...

Hope this makes sense! What would you recommend?

There is a reason the Bachelor of Business (Accounting)/Bachelor of Business (Banking and Finance) double degree has a higher ATAR score requirement than the Bachelor of Business (Accounting) single degree. The two are not the same. Majors are different from degrees. You could do a double major in that single degree, but yes as you pointed out, you won't have any room for other units. It really depends on what you want. Two degrees may give you greater flexibility and employment options than just a single degree. I'm studying that double degree and I would rather finish a year later than a year early and be unemployed. Also, with that triple major - that is possible. Except it depends on the faculty that you're planning to major in (some might not recognise it). Minors aren't worth as much as majors because it requires less units (4 units compared to 8 for a major). I'd go for the double degree personally.
