Hey, I'm just wondering how the Year 11s are going. It was a tough year for me last year - at this stage, tougher than Year 12. You guys know that you can PM me about anything, right? I have to applaud some of you for doing that over the past few weeks - I've really enjoyed getting to know some of you a bit better. :)

Yr 11 is pretty good actually :) I'm finding Biology and Further Maths 3/4 most enjoyable though, personally because I'm really pumped for them! The 3/4 SACs I have are so much bigger than the 1/2s, which are so puny when you compare them lol. I just hope that I did well on my 3/4 Biology SAC.. I mean I finished the SAC and answered the questions with confidence, but my teacher stupidly put 2 experiments in the 1 SAC to be completed + a full prac report write up in 1.5 hours, so I feel it was rushed. Oh well, 9 more SACs to redeem myself and hopefully I did well, and I'm just overreacting, lol.

Year 11 felt like a massive jump for me. Mainly because year 10 at our school was a bit too easy. Saying that, the classwork isn't extremely hard just the workload can be stressful (shouldn't have picked all hard subjects!!). Now that the first term is almost over I'm actually enjoying it! :D My year 12 subjects are actually my favourite out of all of them.

The only part of my life I regret is not choosing the 'hard subjects'! Don't stress, you'll adapt. Year 10 at my school was shit as anything as well and the Asian 5 guys got a kick in the face when they went into Year 11. Just study consistently, and smash those 3/4s :D
✌️just do what makes you happy ✌️

Year 11 makes me want to chop my own butt off because I chose asian subjects instead of interesting ones

Now I have to wait till midyear to swap

I felt the same. In year 10, my school was really slack. My teachers were more than hopeless. My English teacher never even taught us how to write an essay, she just gave us these vocabulary/grammar/spelling handouts then sat on her laptop all class laughing like a hyena. I scored 2% on my English essays in year 10, twice. Went into year 11 and it was such a major change. The one thing I ultimately regret is not taking up a 3/4 subject. If you're doing a 3/4, focus on that, it will count more than a 1/2.

Hello hello!
Yr 11 is good accounting is pretty easy to handle. I wanna finish most of the 3/4 textbooks on the holidays. ( not these holidays, summer holidays)

I was thinking of doing that too, finishing the textbooks over the holidays.

It should be doable if ur comfortable with ur subjects and can do an hr of each subject a day. I might do a bit more a day for spesh but that should do it.

For methods and spesh over the summer holidays, I'm probably just going to work on finishing every question of the initial chapters and doing some checkpoints on them. Probably going to finish the psych textbook though.

I did that this year for Bio and Further. I'm happy for having done it, but next year instead of doing the whole textbook, I'll probably just finish unit 3 of each because that'll ensure you've really consolidated it, when you have to do revision of unit 3 + 4 because of no mid-years.

My summer holiday:
* English ~ read all 4 novels; read A Christmas Carol about 3-4 times.
* Methods ~ complete Unit 3 relevant work
* Chemistry ~ complete Unit 3 relevant work
* Physics ~ complete Unit 3 relevant work.

Obviously I haven't fully decided, but thats the *hopeful* plan.

I think I might do the same, but just 30 minutes a day. I want to take it slow and not burn out during the year. I'll probably just study the first few topics.
