But there are people who use this stress/negative energy and succeed. A little bit like me, except I don't always succeed :) I think Vermilliona is definitely one!

I suppose, I used to like that, super negative ahha. But how much effort you put in is literally what score you are going to get in SS. It's obvious Vermilliona works hard, I'd say she will get a good ATAR and it is definitely well deserved. You'd rather be confident at this stage and relax in my opinion, I tend to preform better that way.
Then..... There's me who is just too lazy to do any revision at all ahhaha.

I just feel like I haven't done enough for English regardless of how many essays I've written because I could have written more? Like idk, what do you think is a good amount to have done, I feel really unsure ://
I've written I think 13 essays.

yeah I kinda shit myself when I first saw that prompt haha, but I ended up being able to manipulate it so half of my ideas were stuff I'd previously written about and half was new - which will probs be my strategy for the exam. hopefully the prompts we get aren't complete out of left field :/thank you heaps for these! :Dyeah I think the 2012 were too simple. I dont think I could have actually written a full length essay for those. I'm hoping for 2013 level difficulty, or maybe a tiny bit harder, so it invites some interesting ideas without being impossible. Fingers crossed VCAA isn't too sadistic :P

edit: actually 2012 was probably really simple cos it was the first year of war poems being on the text list. chances are we'll get some harder stuff as we near the end of its time on the list
How did you manipulate what you knew about it? Can you interpret 'beauty' to mean something great that you wouldn't expect in way like the love soldiers have for one another like in futility or writing to the parents in SIW? There is another poem called beauty where he just recalls shit like men never knowing beauty whilst women would obsess over beauty in the mirror, and the ironic use of the word 'beauty' for men came when they said like 'oh what a beauty, lad.' I haven't memorised the quotes yet I do that tomorrow. I would have so little to write regardless.

Tomorrow I need to find poems where Owen condemns those advertising the war. Would you please be able to tell me some? I honestly have zero beyond like Owen's vehement condemning of 'the old lie.' I wouldn't have anything substantial to write on for a single paragraph, let alone an essay. I have to do this tomorrow but if you could pleaseeee tell me some poems I'd be forever in your debt :P

She posted in VCE discussion page on facebook. Everyone was telling her to get a derived score. I guess she would have to go with that.

Thanks guys, your comments and some serious stress eating of bread have made me feel more positive about it! I guess we all just have to trust in ourselves and our preparation, plus, upon reflection, the number of essays you need to do to be well-prepared is different for everyone, so no use comparing. Sorry for my periodic outbursts lol

She writes on like the kids age or something, or at least did I'm pretty sure. So ... incoming 50 with premiers award.

P.S. Is stress eating bread even a thing?

I know this girl and can assure everybody that she is surrounded with a supportive community and everybody is doing their best to help her and her family :)

It really does put things in perspective though. I started off last night not being able to sleep because I was worried for English, ended up not being able to sleep because I was worried about my house burning down. My philosophy on English now is that fear and anxiety is only going to hold me back. I can't keep telling myself that I'm going to do badly, because this will only destroy my confidence. Equally, I have to realise that there's a lot worse that could happen that not achieving the score I want in one exam.

But it is so true that I feel the pressure to do well just to justify all of the work that I've done throughout the year. Thankfully, it's only approx 40 hours until English will be done forever.

The half-empty bag of herbed Turkish bread in my kitchen can attest that stress eating bread is definitely a thing :(
