Just got an email from school saying if I don't return my library resources by tomorrow I won't get admitted to Valedictory tomorrow night. That's such a wimpy threat - they didn't even tell me the name of the resource I supposedly still had on loan and yet they expect me to return it? Well done school, well done.

And I'd only be able to return it tomorrow morning, and yet the library probably won't tell me what I'm looking for until tomorrow morning and just agh. A few days notice would have been nice  :o

Lol, I got 36 emails this year asking me to return books. Total fine was $398. Got it cleared for $10 cuz connections with library :P

They made me donate one book lol.

Haha yeah I don't think they would've done anything if you hadn't returned them.

Well done man! How'd it go overall? Wasn't too awkward? Didn't question your log book? ;)

(Image removed from quote.)

The woman said she didn't deduct any points or have anything bad to say about my driving. I must say it was an awkward process (the silence in the car, the shroud of apprehension, etc) but I got through it in the end. They *thankfully* didn't question my log book. I'm enjoying a latte from Maccas that I drove on my own to get! :)

WHAT LOL what a ridiculous threat.

Wait till you hear what my school threatened. Back in year 11, it was compulsory for the year 11s to purchase school iPads, despite the fact that we found them useless and worked better with hardcopy, traditional textbooks. Anyway, none of us purchased them bar a few. The threat was if you guys don't purchase them, you cannot wear the PE uniform throughout the year. LOL! They threatened us with no PE uniforms, except of course if you were doing Phys Ed as a VCE subject (for which, funnily enough, you don't need to be in PE attire).

The one constant in my schooling life has always been the elusive library book which I always forget to return and the ridiculous threats.

we just get an email about our library books which no-one ever even notices and then you return the book before school ends and no one cares. (y) life is good.

Most of my textbooks are only available digitally, unless you want to buy the hardcopy and digital copy together as a package. Introducing iPads was probably the worst decision my school could've made.
