Quadruple major?!
« on: January 23, 2013, 05:12:55 am »

I have managed to timetable in four majors (Human Structure & Function, Physiology, Neuroscience and Pharmacology) for B.Sc. All criteria for major, subject prerequisites and course requirements are met in the timetable.
Timetable can be viewed here: http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/3886/nwe2.jpg

Has this ever been done? Would it be beneficial? Would it be hard? Its just four more level 3 subjects than the minimum. Should I do it? Tell me what you think. :)

You're in first year and you're planning a quadruple major? Okayy
It will be unrecognised by the university and won't really help you in job applications, depending on what you want to do. Do the subjects if you like them not because you want to do 4 majors

You'll find that the subjects start clashing by second year, and a lot in third year.

If you want to do it then go for it, but definitely don't do it just for the sake of four "majors".

Only one shows up on your degree so it's not recognised. I guess it could be helpful say on your resume by explaining you have 4 majors otherwise I don't see how it would be beneficial in comparison to the traditional 1 major. And think of the workload D:

3rd year subjects in Semester 1 of your 2nd year? Da fuq is up with that. I reckon choosing 2 is alright, but 4 is a bit much.

Oh really? I thought it my 2013 BSci handbook it had to major, you had to have 50 level 3 points?
Is it when you begin to double/triple that is reduces per major?

He's cross crediting subjects in order to have "4" majors. For example, if x,y,z,t are used for major 1, but also x,y,z are used for major 2, he's taking course q in order to complete "2" majors. There's no way you're going to be able to do 200 points of level 3 haha. Wayyy to many pre-reqs to complete.
