A few questions about subject selection and breadth

Hey guys, I was wondering If somebody could answer these questions about my subject selection and also about the breadth program.

Firstly, a bit of info to help you out. I'm leaning toward an Engineering major but also have a bit of an eye for IT. I didn't do spesh in year 12 so keep that in mind.

So to the questions:
1. Since I'm still not 100% on what I want to major in, what subjects should I take to keep as many doors open as possible? So far I've got Eng Systems Design 1 & 2, Calculus 1&2 and Physics 1&2. Am I on the right track?
2. Following up from number 1, should I leave breadth out this year and take more science subjects? I think that would help with keeping majors open..?
3. If / when I decide to take a breadth subject, is it possible to take subjects from science? For example, would I be able to take psychology?
4. Finally, I'm interested in the subject "From the Solar System to the Cosmos" (PHYC10008). Would I be able to take this in semester 2 of first year, pushing physics 2 back, without messing up potential majors?

Thanks guys, I hope these questions aren't too tedious. Appreciate any help.

PHYC10008 is more of a "fluff" physics course from the look of it. It'd be really interesting, and be in line with scientific programmes such as Nat Geo and Discovery Science, but it doesn't really lead anywhere. It'd be better to do Physics 2.

You could consider doing first year Informatics, to see if you like it.
The Finnish word pilkunnussija, which translates literally to “comma fucker,” is someone who risks his social wellbeing to annoyingly and persistently point out punctuation errors.

Yeah that's what I was thinking.

Seems like a viable option. I might book an appointment at the student centre and see if they can help with some of these issues. Thanks for the responses guys.
