Specialist 3/4 without 1/2

So yeah I'm picking up spesh 3/4 without having done 1/2. So far I've self-taught and worked through every question in the following chapters from GMA Essentials:
- Vectors
- Polar coordinates & complex numbers
- Loci
- Kinematics
- Statics of a particle (dynamics)
- Circular functions II
- Trig ratios & applications
+ The toolbox chapter from 3/4

I was just wondering if there is anything that you guys think I may have missed that is necessary for the 3/4 course. Also any tips for spesh that I may have missed from 1/2 would be appreciated.

Thanks so much  :)

You'll be fine, just start working on spesh at this point. I didn't do GMA either, and didn't bother self-learning any of GMA before I started spesh.

There is technically not a spec 1/2 in VCAA. Some schools just offer intro 'spec' topics in GMA. My school did not do this. I did spec in year 12 having done only methods 1/2 in year 11 and got 35 RAW. You don't in any way need to have done this so called 'spec 1/2' to do well in actual specialist maths. I am an example of this and I am in no way naturally talented at maths, just a hard worker :)

All topics in spec are covered from the ground up; you don't need any other knowledge except methods 3/4, which is why you have to have done methods 3/4 or be doing it along side spec (I did it along side). Having done '1/2 spec' will only mean you have some extra experience on stuff you will re learn anyway :)

Yeah my school just calls GMA spesh 1/2 (pretty sure they only do the spesh topics). Thanks both for the info :)
