Hi everyone, I have a few questions that I don't get. If anyone can help with clues or whatnot, that'd be appreciated :)

8. A child pulls a 4.0 kg toy cart along a horizontal path with a rope so that the rope makes an angle of 30° with the horizontal. The tension in the rope is 12 N.
b) What is the component of tension in the direction of motion?

Resolve the Tension vector into x and y components.
Make a diagram of the force as this always helps.

Therefore:
Tx = 12cos(30) = 6root(3) N
