Number Patterns Module

Hi guys

So I completed the whole course for Further Maths over the holidays just to note what potential mistakes I can make + and rectify them before doing SAC/s, exams, etc.

Number patterns: If a question specifically asks you to find something, lets use six as an example:
at the start of the 6th year , you use that year (e.g. 6).
BUT
after 6 years you use the following year (e.g. 7).

Is that correct? And if so, when is there an exception?
Thank you!

Yes you are correct ;D
The after 6 years can also be read as the start of the 7th year
:)
The examiners tend to try and trick you as hard as.possible You.just have to read the question carefully, VCAA Further maths examiners are just a bunch of old people that failed psychology :p

I finished the course during the summer holidays basically so I know the potential nasties before doing them. I've written down and taken note of potential things that could stuff me up (e.g. correlation coefficient is always given as a positive on the calculator for linear regression analysis - however, if the direction is negative, then the correlation coefficient, r, becomes a negative value.

Good luck with emulating those skills into your yr 12 subjects :D

Thanks a lot man, and like i said before if you need any help, especially cause you're doing the same 3/4's that i did, give me a PM, but i doubt you need it for either of them, you sound like you know you're stuff, and especially if you've gone through the course in further already!
Good Luck!  :D

No no I definitely will consult you. Do you think its hard to manage with those 2 year twelve subjects and your 1+2s? For now I'm finding the appropriate balance quite reasonable :)
