Guys, this is a bit off topic, but I don't know where else to ask this and don't think it's worthy of making a completely new post. For anyone doing English, does anyone know of an alternative way of saying 'appeal to hip pocket', because that phrasing is so over-used and it's seems odd when I write it.

The only thing I can think of is 'financial conscious' or something, but that again sounds strange. Sorry to interrupt. :P

Also ...

anyone neglecting there perceived 5th or 6th subject?

I keep claiming that all the 4 subjects I'm doing this year are in my bottom 2, and so I seem to be neglecting them equally. :P

haha nah interrupting is fine !! You're right, yeah "financially conscious readers" sounds kinda clunky haha.
First thing that comes to my mind would be "Asian", but that's a bit stereotypical :P

Appeal to hip-pocket: By threatening readers’ financial wellbeing, the writer positions readers to feel as though they are unfairly being overcharged or ripped off.
You could paraphrase this, or you could talk about reader sell interest. Just write what fits best :P
2012:  Methods [48] Physics [49]
2013:  English [40] (oops) Chemistry [46] Spesh [42] Indo SL [34] Uni Maths: Melb UMEP [4.5] Monash MUEP [just for a bit of fun]
2014:  BAeroEng/BComm

Thanks for that! 'Financial wellbeing' will definitely come in handy :D

Goodluck! :D So glad that hasn't happened to me so far. Max I've had in any given week is 2, but that's because I have only 4 subjects. :P

Let's just  take a moment to hold our heads high and remember the poor souls present and past who decided to take a folio subject.
May the force be with you, Loll, you'll smash it :).
