hmm.. rather than make a new thread, figured posting here would be fine.
Currently doing, Spesh (by distance), English, Bio, Chem, Methods.
Did Further (39) and Economics (29) in year 11.

Am really not great on bio, behind in chapter questions and stuff. I don't 'get' it a lot of the time, and I don't see myself working in any of the health science fields or anything. Thoughts on whether I should drop the subject?

Hello :)
No, I don't think you should, unless you kinda want to avoid science-based courses altogether?

Do you know what you want to in the future?

I was actually aiming for Science at Melbourne Uni, but I prefer the maths side of things I suppose.

It's weird, I'm ranked in my class in the top 2 or 3 in outcomes, but I was literally the worst in the practice mid-year exam. 47%, just awful aha :/ I'm just really unsure at the moment.

I don't think it's worth dropping it.

The reason you want to drop the subject is because of one bad practice exam mark (and probably your first one too)? There's plenty of time to get good with exam questions. Even so, if you were doing pretty poorly with the subject, rather than dropping a subject it might be worth working just hard enough so that you can get a 30 and have it count as your 10% subject. But I don't think you need to do that, just keep trying your best with the subject.

With Melb Sci I'm pretty sure you can get in with just Methods and Specialist. You're also doing Chemistry so that'd cover pretty much all the BSc courses too.

I suppose this in true in some aspects. I have struggled throughout the year, despite what my ranking suggests. But I guess you're right about plenty of time to get good at exam questions.

However it would be my 7th subject, not counting for anything with a 30.

Will be doing my school timetable. Whenever someone wants to see me, I will drop homework and go see them.

Just doing a little bit each day. Planning to use the school timetable like no steez to manage my time. But the bare minimum for me is to have readings done and the assigned papers to be completed.

I'm glad the holidays have arrived, perfect timing really. I plan on spending week 1 revising Unit 3 and the next week just studying for Unit 4.

Enjoy your holidays

Not do anything for the first week, not do anything for several days more, panic, then rush all the due work.

Now THIS sounds familiar...not this time holiday homework...not this time

Why is it that I always get set a truckload of homework that will take me the whole holidays to complete? This happened last holidays and I essentially got no rest at all. :/
