Electronics/Photonics question help

Hello all! Chennpion here, just started doing Unit 3/4 Physics and this is my first post (y)  :P

I need help with trying a certain question...well more like trying to decipher (or redraw) the circuit so it is more easily understandable. The question is from the Heinemann textbook (physics Units 3/4)

Where I am stuck:
-->not sure what it means by V0
-->How to do questions where the supply voltage and voltage in are the same
-->Why current through LDR is around 10 times greater than current through the base input of the transistor

I would appreciate it if someone could solve the question/explain how they got it/answer my queries :P

That is all for now ^.^

I'm pretty sure transistor questions are no longer in the study design

Yeah, transistors aren't studied until Uni (or further electronics maybe?) now after the change in 2009.
Thinking of doing Engineering? - Engineering FAQs

2012 - 2014: B.Sc. - Mechanical Systems - The University of Melbourne
2014 - 2014: Cross-Institutional Study - Aero/Mech Engineering - Monash University
2015 - 2016: M.Eng (Mechanical with Business) - The University of Melbourne
2015 - Sem1: Exchange Semester - ETH Zurich

They're not in further electronics anymore (well they weren't when I did it back in '11).

I'm starting to get too old for this... May be on here or irc from time to time.

Thank for your replies :P Thank god i don't have to worry about those questions >.>

edit: I know its not on the study design anymore but could anyone explain how to do this question anyways? :P Thanks in advance
