I've always thought that in order to get what you want, you have to fight for it.

Two main reasons;

1. I've always wanted to own a home at a young age, this means having a good job at a good age, which usually requires a good education such as a degree. I've always been living currently just for the future, always have wondered how it'll be like owning my own home at a young age paid off and with a family, couldn't wish for anything else in my life.

2. Disbelief and hate. I'm more than well aware some people do not believe I'll reach my ATAR goals and some probably don't even want me to.

Apparently, the higher your qualifications are, the more underpaid you are. :p

Depends where :P if you are a medico a PhD is essential for surgery (because they are trying to differentiate between equally outstanding candidates) and that's where the big bucks (and shitty lifestyle :P) are.

Well, a degree can easily get you a $60k+ p.a salary, it just depends on your career. I plan on having a career in Information Technology, and with just a basic I.T degree you can earn $100k/yr after a few years whereas something like a teacher or accounting degree you'll probably be stuck with $70k/yr, so yes you're somewhat correct

The fact that it's better to enter through a door than break a window. It means that I won't have the risk of getting hurt and falling short of getting inside the house, really.
And also FREEDOM.

Freedom.

Sooner or later you'll have the world in the palm of your hands, but what you do with your life NOW will affect the quality of your future (materialistically).

And mentally, and most importantly, you'll feel worthy. Intelligence is never shunned.

I'll be the cliche one... But people on ATARNotes are also a primary source of motivation for me. There are so many different people from different backgrounds, with different skills and different circumstances and they all set out, with one goal. Pretty much to achieve their best.

How is that not motivating in any sense :D

(note lack of ?(rhetorical question :P) )
