Autoallocated Unit Clash Rant
devonodev:
Hello!
So, this year I'll be doing a Bachelor of IT (I.T. Security). However one of the core units clash with my elective, which Deakin highly recommended I take because of that same unit. Discrete Maths, and Maths Methods.
Because pictures are pretty, I have a few.
So I need to do Discrete Maths, and I didn't do Methods in VCE so it tells me to do it as an elective.
The Methods is recommended because of the Discrete Maths, as said on the unit page.
So of course, they decide to schedule 2 automatically allocated lectures at the same time, which I can't change. Rant over, question time. What should I do now?
I'm going to get in contact with them, but any suggestions on who? If nothing can be changed, how feasible is missing one every week? Keeping in mind its 1 out of 3 hours I would miss for each.
Thanks

not sure if lectures are recorded at Deakin but if so - attend one lecture and watch the other online?

Alternatively, you are aware that you complete 8 units in a year?
Im sure that you could alternate one of your Semester 2 Units and switch it with that, so that you complete discrete mathematics in second semester?
Just an idea, unless I.T is supeeer structured or something.
:)

I actually wasn't aware you could do that, but it doesn't matter anyway as Discrete Mathematics is only offered Trimester 1.
Quantum.Mechanic:
Switch the elective to sem 2?
Or Trimester 2 or whatever it is ?
