ALLOCATE+ Question

I've chosen times with clash with my automatically allocated lectures so I have a higher chance of getting my first preference timetable. But if it says choose 'at least six' preferences and I choose six - all others which clash with my first preference. If allocate+ can't give me any of the six preferences, what happens then? Is it wise to list as many preferences as possible, so ten?

If all other preferences clash, you're extremely likely to get one of the six. However, if you're unlucky (or lucky, depending on the outcome), they may have no option but to give you a timetable with a clash in that area.

Regarding what happens in that eventuality, I asked a similar question recently.

In that case, you should enter your real preferences as your 7th to 10th ones. It's very unlikely that you won't get your first pref, but if you don't you won't be completely screwed over if you insure yourself by putting in real preferences for your 7th to 10th ones.
