If this is the case I hope the level 3 breadth i'm taking this semester doesn't stuff up my gpa. Seems like a very interesting subject though. So from your point of view the vcaa is doing the wrong thing with scaling?

As per the handbook, you shouldn't be taking Lvl 3 classes until you've completed 50 points (4 classes) at Lvl 2. It's under "progression" in the B-Sci page. What class is it anyway?

If you're talking about Med GPA (I'm assuming you are since you are doing Biomed), breadth courses do participate the same amount as your other courses. Type in 'Med GPA Melb Uni' or something like that into the search bar and you'll see heaps of threads on it here bro.

Does a breadth done during the 1st year of uni contribute the same as one done later on?

Yes she should unenrol. Unless it's Engineering Materials because, from what everyone says, that shits easy. Probably shouldn't do it in first year anyway.

I don't really get the need to advance too quickly in your studies tbh.

I reckon you should try and do at least 1 ENG100XX subjects before trying a 2nd year level class, and definitely before trying a level 3 subject. If you are really gunning for Med, you want to be getting H2As and H1s and if you do classes too early, you'll be versing actual English majors who have 2 years of pre-req study behind them.

God no, don't do that. If anything it'll do 2 things:

1. Sound like you are trolling for an easy subject to H1 in and insult the co-ord by suggesting that his class may be one
2. Have the co-ord restrict your access because you are a first year and you shouldn't be doing that class anyway.

I found a couple of commerce subjects particularly interesting (I took Intro Microeconomics) which is Lvl 1. Are you set on the Arts faculty for breadth?

You can change classes still until 31st of March.
