choosing a subject for gamsat preparation?

So I hear that the GAMSAT involves a section that involves first year biology knowledge. I was wondering if I should take an additional subject course in biology for the GAMSAT?

"BIOL10001 Biology of Australian Flora & Fauna"

Subject overview: "This subject will include the natural history of Australia from the Cretaceous to the present, and the influence of Australian Aborigines and Europeans; Australian environments, climatic zones, major biomes; terrestrial biota: diversity, endemism and biology of Australian plants, relictual rainforests, sclerophylly, adaptation to fire, diversity, endemism and biology of unique habitats, low nutrients and aridity; diversity, endemism and biology of vertebrate fauna including amphibians and marsupials; marine environments, algae, invertebrates, reefs, mangrove communities, inland waterbodies; and ecology, conservation, and management of Australian ecosystems."

does not interest me at all... but since i did biology last year (as part of an extension program) I was wondering if I should do this as well?(alongside with re-learning the material from last year)

Then no.

IMO you are unlikely to gain a massive GAMSAT benefit from any subject you have zero interest in.

Instead, why not look up some journals in those ecology-type disciplines and analyse some graphs/diagrams. E.g. effect of water quality (pH, dissolved gasses, nutrients etc) on biodiversity, reproductive behaviours etc.

^ totally agree

Why not try one of those Uni Breath Subjects that incorporate Biology in social contexts?
