Assumed knowledge for 3/4 Specialist?

This is a rather late question, I know, but I have only just stumbled upon the Atar Notes website.

What topics, especially within the Essentials Advanced General Mathematics are assumed knowledge for 3/4 specialist?

Co-ordinate Geometry (Circles, Ellipses etc.)
Complex Numbers
Vectors
Trig Identities

These are probably the main ones,  because you build up on these in 3/4.

For those who don't have GMA at their high school, don't worry. You'll run through all of these "assumed knowledge" topics in the first couple of weeks.

Specific chapters/parts that would help are:
5 - In study design, but it's not that important
6 - Partial Fractions is the most important part from this
10/11 - All of this is important
12/14 - Basic knowledge of trig is important
15 - All of this is important
16 - All of this is important but the polar graphs
17 - Graphing ellipses and hyperbola, the loci properties aren't that important
19 - All of this is important
20 - All of this is important

If there is something you didn't cover I wouldn't worry about it. You can go over the toolbox chapter in the spesh book. I don't think there is anything they don't go over again.

Thanks for the quick replies! Yeah our school didn't run GMA last year due to insufficient numbers. Luckily, we banded together at least 7 and combined with another school to run it... interesting since the other school only had 2...

I think i might have a quick ponder over these subjects, but it seems we have gone over many of them in class already.

Thanks again!
