May be stupid question but are we allowed to bring them into lectures? Already have my textbooks downloaded onto it and thought it would be a good idea to have the lecture slides as a back up on it whilst hand writing notes during lecture

You can bring anything into lectures lol.  First year Arts my friend sat through an entire subject playing Pokemon on her ds, nobody is going to tell you off there will be 50000 other people in your class and they really don't care if you pass or not (she did!)

That is so true.  I remember back in first year, the chemistry lectures were at 2:15 and there was some guy who would bring in a pillow to a few lectures and just sleep through the lecture.

So bring anything - even your sleeping hat if it helps you learn and most importantly, pass the subject.

Sure why not? They don't care what you bring into lectures unless it can harm someone. I even remember seeing this meme come to life :D

Is there enough room to place your iPad and book on the bench thingy? Because if I recall, they were quite small.

Well that would kind of depend on where you are sitting?  Not really?  You usually go with one or the other - why can't you write in your ipad with a stylus if you want to write shit down, that's what I do.  Otherwise just put it on your lap or on top of your book.

How do you get books onto your iPad? What store do you buy them from?

if you bought an e-book, more often than not there are dedicated e-reader apps for those e-books which have corresponding apps on iOS, so you just buy the book normally (online at coop etc) and then use the registration code and download it through the given app on your iPad

I just put my iPad on my lap, there's enough room for an iPad on the bench thing but if you're going to write or do something else at the same time there won't be much room.
