I can't remember what we were supposed to do but when I wrote comparative analyses I just juxtaposed the two articles throughout my paragraphs.
✌️just do what makes you happy ✌️

The way I was taught, you had a few options.

1. Analyse the first article in isolation, analyse the second article with reference to the first.
OR
2. Analyse the first article, analyse the second article, write a paragraph outlining the similarities, and notable (not all) differences - usually ones that reveal the different paradigms or perspectives of the two writers.

Remeber that the main task is still language analysis, your teacher should be satisfied as long as some comparison has been made. You don't have to discover some profound link between the two articles... apart from the topic, half the time there won't be one.
