Which unit should I do?

This is mainly for second/later years - if you had a choice between Eng1050 (materials) and Eng1020 (structures) which would you choose?

My main points of concern are that I didn't do chemistry in school and looking at the unit outline for materials it looks pretty chem based. I also want something on the easier side as I do not plan to major in either of these subjects, however, I don't mind putting effort in for something that is taught well and is interesting.

Any inputs would be greatly appreciated!

May I ask what are you planning to major in? Because I'm pretty sure all fields of engineering WILL involve materials at some point in your course. The same can be said for structures (Might be a little less in Chem/Biomed but it's still there).

Both of these subjects are equally important to an engineer, so in order to decide which of these you take, you must first roughly know what you want to major in, and which unit would you have more interest in?

Personally, I would take structures as there are relatively more maths involved in it when compared to materials, and I just find the content in materials dry.
