:) What do you think?

I think the exams may just be the same standard? Who thinks otherwise?

It's too hard to call. Although, the 2011 exams were much more difficult than usual and the 2012 exams were much more easy than usual. Make of that what you will. :P

I'm just hoping the same pattern occurs with Methods (hard one last year, so hopefully an easy one this year? ::))

NO! I refuse to observe any patterns in exam difficulty lol. And 2011 was weird; the highest at my school is usually 46+, and it was like 42 in 2011. The Graphs and Relations Module was apparently difficult + the Matrices section required graphing LOL!

Hum, I think the exams are getting harder, but with the amount of further kids also doing meth/spesh increasing, it's kinda appropriate. I feel sorry for the kids only taking further, though.

I think that because its such an easy subject, the assessors are throwing in some theory-based questions rather than simple arithmetic, simply because of the level of ease in the subject :)

yes, but questions are moving towards knowing how to apply the rules etc. and actually understanding how they work instead of just substituting in the rules

Also,  when you get to kilbaha, it's like, wtf? this ain't further...
I remember opening the exam last year and going, wut? because VCAA hadn't done anything like it before (talking about the wind question)

Keep calm and carry on, I suppose.

Apparently they're sticking with the extra ER question.

pretty sure meth was mid-hard in 2011, and pretty hard in 2012, so hopefully it doesn't go to super hard

from a lot of anecdotal accounts ive heard, its 'easy' (relatively) to get a 38+ in further, but quite difficult to get a 45+ due to the near perfect exam scores required (I know someone who lost 3 marks over both exams and got a 45)

also, cohort, sacs, rankings, etc. are relatively important.

I have heard that usually after a significant study design change, the exam is usually easier, but it could be the flip to that this year, and it may be much harder.

Just study hard, and don't slack off in the chance that the exam will be easier. Better safe than sorry.  ;D

Pretty much any comments along these lines. You can't make any definite statements about what the exam might be like. To try and predict it, whilst amusing,  is counterproductive. You need to be prepared for everything.
