Further maths sac

So recently i just did the further maths sac based on the core and i know that i made a couple of stupid errors so i just wanted to know how will that affect me overall in getting a 45+ study score for my first sac i got a 100% and was rank 1 however i know that some people in my class will have gotten a higher score changing the ranks up, but my class is actually pretty strong. And what can i do cause i feel so disheartened. Should i just focus on the next 2 sacs which are worth 40 marks overall for all the sacs? Or just give up on getting a 45+ score.

Your hopes for 45 have not diminished.
The exam counts for 66% of your mark and SACs 33%. This is great because, you're probably still ranked fairly highly in a strong cohort so ultimately this should not have much of an effect on your study score. Think of it as this. If you're not ranked 1 and you only lost a few marks for SACs, then the people who are ranked above you are most likely going to perform really well on the exam, having little to no effect on your study score.

The thing is, I heard if you're even rank 1 and drop a few marks, your study score can drop to around ~45. The competition between 40 and 50 is really high, really.

The thing I would say is, don't give up on 45 study score, but I think you should keep that as your goal and a benchmark should be 40.

Don't be too disheartened! Honestly, if you do happen to stuff up on a SAC, it isn't the end of the world. You should just use it as a wake-up call to modify your study habits so you improve on further SACs and actually endeavour to demolish that VCAA exam. Don't be too hard on yourself; just work harder and in the end hopefully it will pay off.

Good luck!
