Yeah, but then that is not future anymore. Since it is something that has been in the past.
So "I would have loved to go there" would be like "I wäre gerne dorthin gegangen"
That is in this case konjunktiv II

Ah, my bad, I think I get it now. I thought that you could just replace werde with würde, without the tense changing. Thanks!
