A few little pointers to get you on the right track:
What type of bonding is present in BaCl
2?
What type of bonding is present in products of the reaction?
What property are you testing?
How does the bonding relate to the type of bonding?
Explain the observations in relation to these types of bonding.
Hope this makes some sense.
(quite an interesting prac, might try this next year with my class)
Hey guys, i need to write up a prac report for a practical we did and there are some questions i have no idea about!
It was a prac on observing H2SO4 slowly being titrated into a beaker of BaCl2. The beaker of BaCl2 was hooked up to a multimeter to measure the current...
So my questions!
*OH- and H+ forms water...Why is it an important aspect of the experiment?
*Why does the light bulb glow brightly when there is only BaCl2 solution in the beaker?
*What cannot be present in the beaker, when the bulb goes out?
Help would be greatly appreciated!
